Lorain County Community College (LCCC) is an adjunct instructor position within the Division of Engineering, Business, and Information Technologies (EBIT). The Adjunct Manufacturing Processes Instructor will be responsible for, but not limited to, providing manufacturing processes lectures and labs for courses on an as needed basis, primarily TECN 131 (Manufacturing Processes 1 ) and TECN 132 (Manufacturing Processes 2). Topics of instruction for TECN 131 include an introduction to the use and understanding of commonly used machine tools, lathes, mills, drill presses, and surface grinders will be studied and used. Metrology, blueprint reading, materials, and common fabrication processes will be studied. TECN 132 covers advanced techniques of manufacturing processes using lathes, mills, surface grinders and electro-discharge machines (EDM). Fixture and tool design will be studied. 

The instructor:  Must be available to teach days and/or evenings; Must feel comfortable using learning management systems (Canvas) in the delivery of courses; Must be able to utilize and maintain lab equipment; Must be able to adapt teaching methods to meet the varying needs and interests of students; Must be able to administer and grade tests, evaluate students, prepare weekly classes and performance testing based on the course curriculum; Must demonstrate a working knowledge and appreciation of manufacturing processes used in industry; Must be able to demonstrate the safe and proper use of tools and equipment used in industry; Must be able to deliver curriculum on campus.
