We are looking for a Full-time Leasing Agent. for our Pikewood Manor location. The Leasing Agent will show homes to potential renters, lease homes to qualified applicants, renew leases with current tenants, and perform managerial duties concerning the property as directed.
Duties and Responsibilities
Warmly greets visitors, prospective renters, and current residents.
Provides potential tenants with brochures, information, and tours of facilities and available units.
Consults with prospective tenants to identify requirements and budgets, then matches these needs with available properties.
Ensures available and model homes are fresh and tidy.
Conducts background and credit checks and verifies other references as directed by the Leasing Manager.
Prepares leases for Sales Manager’s review and approval; obtains signatures from management and tenants.
Coordinates move-in dates, materials, and processes.
Prepares move-in materials.
Creates, develops, and maintains a wait list as needed.
Tours property daily to ensure it is neat, tidy, attractive, and in good repair.
Manages use of shared facilities such as fitness and recreation areas, laundry facilities, and meeting or gathering spaces.
Assists with recordkeeping, filing, bookkeeping, and paperwork as required.
Creates, develops, and maintains a list of promotions and discounts.
Develops and implements marketing strategies to attract renters.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
The position includes all other responsibilities that may be necessary to fulfill the duties associated with the position or as may be assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Real estate sales license preferred.
At least two years of related experience required.
Outgoing, friendly attitude and ability to make others feel welcome and comfortable.
Excellent interpersonal skills with good sales and customer service skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Detail-oriented and organized.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Physical requirements of the job
Periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer as well as standing and walking, giving tours, and meeting with potential tenants.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Must be able to traverse a variety of properties with stairs and in a variety of weather.
Must be able to work weekends and/or evenings on a rotating schedule.
Work Environment
Working indoors in an office environment as well as time outside in the community showing homes.
Travel
Occasional car or air travel may be required to attend local or long-distance meetings, trainings or when visiting other communities.
Work Schedule
Days worked each week may vary based on location, however the position requires forty (40) working hours per week with an unpaid lunch break daily.
In-person attendance is an essential function of this position.
