Nevada Retina Associates is seeking a motivated, energetic, and dependable full-time Ophthalmic Technician to join our growing team. We are willing to train the right candidate who has a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a passion for patient care. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and want to build a rewarding career in ophthalmology, we encourage you to apply.

This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience and knowledge in eye anatomy, retinal diseases, diagnostic testing, and specialized ophthalmic care. This position will float between out Carson City and Reno offices. 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Perform patient work-ups, obtain medical histories, and conduct specialized diagnostic testing
  • Assist physicians with patient care and patient education
  • Help maintain efficient clinic flow and provide exceptional customer service
  • Prepare, clean, and stock exam rooms for daily operations
  • Communicate with patients regarding follow-up care and return phone calls

Qualifications & Skills

  • Strong work ethic with dependable attendance and punctuality
  • Desire to learn and grow in the medical field
  • Previous clinical experience in a medical office preferred
  • COA, COT, or COMT certification preferred, but not required
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced setting
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and proactive
  • Strong computer, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Spanish-speaking candidates are encouraged to apply
