Position Summary:

The Machine Technician (Maintenance) focuses on installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and performing routine preventive maintenance on production equipment. This role partners with engineering to minimize downtime and optimize productivity. Operating machines may occur during testing or verification, but is not a primary function.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues in manufacturing equipment.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Work with electrical systems (motors, sensors, control panels) while adhering to safety standards.
  • Troubleshoot and repair pneumatic systems (air hoses, fittings, valves, solenoids, actuators).
  • Perform precise mechanical adjustments and alignments to optimize equipment performance.
  • Execute preventive maintenance schedules; document work performed and parts used.
  • Assist with installations, rebuilds, and calibrations on CNC, Swiss lathe, DMG milling centers, stamping presses, automated equipment, and automated systems (non-operational production use).
  • Maintain spare parts inventory and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with production and quality teams to reduce downtime and improve throughput.
  • Maintain safe, clean, and organized work areas.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 4+ years experience as a maintenance technician or similar.
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools; ability to read schematics and technical documentation.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Physical ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.

Preferred:

  • Experience supporting CNC, Swiss lathe, DMG milling centers, stamping presses, automated systems, and/ or Radsok equipment (maintenance focus).
  • Basic PLC troubleshooting or mechatronics training; NIMS or equivalent certifications.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic understanding of automation equipment and controls.

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements:

Manufacturing environment; regular standing, walking, handling tools; occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. Overtime/weekend work may be required.
