Job DetailsJob Location: Douglas County North - Englewood, CO 80112Position Type: Independent ContractorSalary Range: $75.00 - $115.00 HourlyAnticipated Start Date: August 3, 2026 Position Purpose The Audiologist is responsible for assessing, identifying, and supporting students with hearing and auditory needs by providing evaluations, recommendations, and intervention plans that promote access to learning and communication. Job Duties Conduct comprehensive hearing evaluations, screenings, and auditory processing assessments for students. Diagnose hearing and balance disorders, and develop individualized treatment plans, including recommendations for hearing aids, cochlear implants, or other assistive listening devices. Work closely with teachers, speech-language pathologists, special education staff, and parents to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with hearing impairments. Educate students, staff, and parents on hearing conservation practices and the prevention of hearing loss. Provide training and support to school staff on the use of hearing aids, FM systems, and other assistive technologies in the classroom. Monitor the progress of students with hearing impairments, adjusting treatment plans as needed and conducting regular follow-up assessments. Maintain accurate records of assessments, treatment plans, and progress reports, ensuring compliance with school district policies and relevant state and federal regulations. Provide support during school emergencies where hearing issues might pose a risk, ensuring clear communication for all students. Attending IEP's and providing consultations when directed by the Director of Exceptional Student Services. QualificationsQualifications AuD or PhD in Audiology OR Master's with CDE School Audiologist endorsement Completion of an approved program from a regionally accredited institution in audiology Practicum or internship in a school setting, equivalent to a minimum of 8 weeks, full time (320 hours) under the supervision of a professionally licensed or Master's level licensed audiologist Conditions of Employment All offers of employment are conditional upon a successful background check and references.
