This position has significant independent responsibility and serves as the primary security authority for assigned programs throughout the entire lifecycle. The CPSO independently interprets complex customer requirements, authors Program Protection Implementation Plans (PPIPs), advises program leadership, and directly interfaces with government customers. Industrial/Program Security Contract Security Oversight: Serve as the CPSO/Security Lead for assigned classified contracts, interpreting and enforcing Security Classification Guides (SCGs), issuing and interpreting DD Form 254s, and Program-specific security requirements from contract initiation to closeout. Access & Program Protection: Process and maintain Program Access Requests and rosters, and manage classified data protection protocols for program teams and customer interfaces. Program Protection: Develop, author, implement, and update Program Protection Implementation Plans (PPIPs), Security Plans, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and associated program security documentation. Proposal Support: Author compliant Security Volumes for proposal efforts and assist Security Leadership in developing Basis of Estimates (BOEs) for program security resources. Customer & Leadership Interface: Interface directly with IC/DoD government Security representatives, Program Managers, and technical leads. Advise leadership on risks, vulnerabilities, compliance issues, and mitigation strategies. Security Education & Training: Prepare and provide tailored Program-specific training and guidance to program staff. Classification Management & Information Security Classification & Safeguarding Guidance: Provide expert guidance regarding classification, portion marking, handling, safeguarding, transmission, storage, reproduction, and destruction of classified information and media. Information Screening: Review technical papers, presentations, and program documentation for security and classification requirements prior to dissemination. Incident Management: Investigate and report security incidents, violations, and potential compromises in accordance with customer requirements. Other Security Support Personnel Security (PERSEC): Support program access management and serve as the primary operational backup for clearance processing using various IC and DoD systems. Support indoctrinations/debriefings, mandatory reporting, visit management, and other security tasks as needed. Physical Security (PHYSEC): Assist with local access control administration, SCIF/secure area monitoring (ICD 705 standards), secure area opening/closing procedures, and escorting uncleared vendors. Audit & Inspection Assistance: Support the Physical Security POC during routine facility self-inspections, alarm testing, and government security reviews.
