About the Role:

This role is a fantastic opportunity to work as an embedded resource with one of the largest Utilities in the United States. This position is responsible for providing real-time technical expertise and technical support to substation maintenance and construction crews for high-voltage substations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Design various electrical projects including creating one-line diagrams, three-line diagrams, electrical schematics, communication diagrams, panel layouts, general arrangements, section views, connection details, and grounding systems
Plan and develop drawings for production work including problem analysis, design layout and calculations on non-routine assignments of substantial variety and complexity
Execute changes to designs or sketches and redlines or mark-ups on ongoing projects
Analyze reports, drawings and tests to plan and design projects
Interpret and incorporate design codes and specifications related to design requirements
Review design drawings for quality assurance within scope, budget and schedule
Perform project tasks and assignments within budgeted hours and deadlines
Compute calculations for AC systems, DC systems, cables, conduit, and grounding designs
Organize and maintain all revisions of project drawings, plot files and project-related information are stored in a logical and well-structural manner

Preferred Qualifications:

4+ years of experience with substations and power distribution
Effective time management skills are required as position may involve working on several projects concurrently
Extensive knowledge of Microstation, AutoCAD, and/or Revit.
Ability to work collaboratively with others including, but not limited to Project Managers, Engineers and Designers in a multi-discipline project team environment to resolve design or drawing issues as appropriate and to accomplish objectives.

Compensation and Benefits:

Expected Hourly Range: $45.00-$55.00/hr. Compensation is negotiable and shall be offered commensurate with experience
