Job DetailsJob Location: Englewood, CO 80112Salary Range: $24.00 - $26.00 HourlyPOSITION SUMMARY: Habitat Management, Inc.—an environmental consulting firm focused on ecological restoration and land management—is hiring Part-Time Environmental Field Technicians for the 2026 field season. This is a hands-on, outdoor role ideal for college students, recent grads, or anyone studying environmental science, biology, ecology, or natural resources who wants real-world experience beyond the classroom.  This seasonal position starts in the April/May time frame (weather dependent) and runs through the fall, offering paid, field-based experience that builds skills employers in environmental and natural resource fields are looking for.  What You’ll Be Doing You’ll be part of a field team restoring and protecting land across Colorado. Duties may include: • Managing noxious weeds and invasive species • Identifying, mapping, planting, and seeding native vegetation • Supporting erosion control and land restoration projects • Operating and maintaining ATV/UTV and field equipment • Installing log and straw sediment control barriers • Collecting GPS data and navigating remote job sites • Performing physically demanding tasks, including lifting 50+ pounds • Following safety protocols in dynamic outdoor environments  Why You’ll Love This Role • Work outside every day in Colorado’s natural landscapes • Gain resume-boosting field experience in ecological restoration • Operate ATVs/UTVs and learn equipment maintenance • Build practical skills in plant identification, GPS mapping, and erosion control • Flexible field schedules that work around school commitments • Potential internship credit (where applicable)   QualificationsWhat We’re Looking For • Physically strong, highly motivated individuals who enjoy hands-on work • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather and terrain • Adaptable, dependable, and eager to learn new skills • Mechanically inclined is a plus • Must live in the greater Denver area • Must have a reliable vehicle for personal transportation  Requirements • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record • Ability to pass a pre-employment background and drug testing  Not Required—but a Big Plus • Coursework or college credit in natural sciences • MSHA certification • Colorado or New Mexico Supervisor Pesticide Applicator License • Experience operating heavy equipment (skid steer, mini-excavator, backhoe)  Schedule & Details • Full-time / Seasonal / Internship eligible • Monday–Friday with some travel • In-person, field-based work • Pay: $24.00- $26.00 per hour  If you want a job that gets you out of the classroom, into the field, and making a real environmental impact, we’d love to hear from you.
