Executive Assistant – Litigation & Employment

Location: Englewood, CO (Meridian Business Park) | Status: Full-Time

Goodspeed Merrill is seeking an experienced Executive Assistant (EA) to support three partners in our Litigation and Employment practices. Your primary mission is to own the administrative and operational landscape so the partners can focus exclusively on their core responsibilities: the practice of law and high-level business development.

We are looking for a seasoned pro who has previously functioned in this specific role, knows how to anticipate executive needs, and can lead the partners on how to better optimize our workflow from day one. This is not a "trainee" position; we want someone who has done this before and can show us what is possible.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

  • Outcome-Oriented Culture: We value efficiency and people who can work independently and solve problems creatively rather than just "putting in the time.".
  • "Where Passion Meets Excellence": We place a heavy premium on team synergy. You will join a kind, considerate, and sincere team that actively invests in each other’s success.
  • Professional Autonomy: We want a natural leader. You will be empowered to overhaul processes and suggest improvements rather than just following a manual.
  • Modern Flexibility: While we value our collaborative office environment, this role is hybrid eligible based on performance and practice needs.

Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will be centered around four key areas, with the highest priority placed on the first two:

  1. Marketing & Client Development (Primary Focus): Support our business development efforts by preparing and refining presentations, managing client-facing materials, and assisting with initiatives designed to grow the practice.
  2. Strategic Communications (Primary Focus): Serve as a key liaison for internal, client, and external communications. This includes screening new client calls to assess fit, drafting/editing correspondence, and coordinating between attorneys and third parties.
  3. Calendaring & Administrative Operations: Own complex calendaring, scheduling, and travel arrangements across a high-volume practice. You will handle billing support, expense reporting, and remove administrative bottlenecks before they impact the partners.
  4. Adaptive Support ("Anything That Arises"): Act as a true partner to the leadership team by handling evolving priorities, office management tasks, and special projects as they emerge.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Verified EA Experience: Actual experience as an Executive Assistant supporting senior-level partners or executives. If you do not have specific EA experience, please do not apply.
  • Marketing Fluency: You must have experience supporting business development or marketing efforts. A legal background (e.g., paralegal) is helpful but not a substitute for marketing experience.
  • High-Stakes Communication: Ability to interface with high-value clients and external stakeholders with total professionalism.

Technical Proficiency: Mastery of Microsoft Office, document management systems, and complex calendaring is expected.
