This role provides Tier I–III technical support and ensures appropriate access and permission controls across enterprise systems. The IT / Systems Administrator works collaboratively with technical teams, security personnel, and business stakeholders to maintain system performance, reliability, and compliance with organizational and regulatory standards. This position operates in a fast-paced and evolving technical environment and plays a critical role in maintaining operational continuity and cybersecurity posture. Responsibilities and Duties: Administer and maintain daily IT operations and infrastructure Implement and support IT strategies, infrastructure improvements, and system modernization initiatives Provide Tier I–III technical support for end users, including troubleshooting hardware, software, network, VOIP, and access-related issues Install, configure, and maintain Windows enterprise domain software and applications Deploy software updates and manage software licensing to ensure compliance Manage, maintain, deploy, and track company hardware assets Sanitize, decommission, and properly dispose of end-of-life (EOL) IT equipment Create, modify, delete, and maintain user accounts and permissions across on-premises, local, and SaaS environments Conduct IT on-boarding and off-boarding processes for employees Maintain and support network infrastructure including firewalls, VPNs, switches, wireless access points, and secure network access configurations Configure and maintain cloud computing services and remote access technologies Experience administering Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) workstation and server environments Experience managing RHEL using command-line tools and shell scripting (Bash or equivalent) Experience managing user authentication and authorization including SSSD, LDAP, and/or Active Directory integration Experience performing system patching and package management using YUM/DNF and Red Hat repositories or Satellite Identify, assess, and mitigate system security risks Collaborate with ISSM/ISSO personnel to implement and maintain systems in accordance with RMF 800-53, NIST 800-171, and CMMC Moderate compliance standards Maintain documentation supporting change management and configuration management processes Perform system data backup, restoration, and disaster recovery support activities Support setup and deployment of new office or remote work environments as required Communicate effectively across departments to support operational needs Promote and reinforce Radix Metasystems’ culture and values Other duties as assigned Primary Location(s): Radix Metasystems HQ, Englewood, CO QualificationsRequired Qualifications: U.S. Citizenship Currently active TS/SCI security clearance issued by a U.S. Government Entity Currently active Counterintelligence polygraph adjudicated by a U.S. Government Entity Must be able to provide 24/7 on-call support on an as-needed basis (this is rare) Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. Equivalent professional experience may substitute for formal education 10-14 years of experience providing enterprise-level IT end-user and systems administration support (including networking, systems, firewalls, and enterprise software) Security+ certification or equivalent cybersecurity certification Strong understanding of computer systems, operating systems, networking, security principles, and file systems Thorough knowledge of IT operational procedures and best practices Experience configuring and managing Linux services such as SSH, NFS, SMB, DNS, and web services Experience implementing and managing SELinux policies and troubleshooting SELinux-related issues Experience with Red Hat Satellite or similar configuration management tools Experience with Ansible, Puppet, or other infrastructure automation platforms Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) solution experience Microsoft Remote Desktop Services (RDS) or VMware virtualization experience Experience troubleshooting complex IT infrastructure and user support issues Solid understanding of coding languages, scripting, and security protocols relevant to enterprise environments Ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities, and projects simultaneously Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams Demonstrated leadership, decision-making, and organizational skills Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced and continuously evolving technical environment Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate exceptional trustworthiness when handling sensitive information Proficiency or demonstrated ability to quickly learn enterprise hardware, software, and specialized applications used within the organization Strong team-oriented mindset and customer-service focused approach Highly Desired Qualifications: Existing privileged user or administrative access experience CISSP or other advanced cybersecurity certifications Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) Linux+ Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds when required
