In collaboration with department leadership, is responsible for managing and enhancing the specimen testing processes in designated area of expertise. Applies high-level of relevant technical and leadership knowledge. Consults with laboratory leaders on technical processes. Functions in a self-directed manner. Oversees the integration of lab discipline within the hospital, ambulatory, and clinic environment. Assist in development and evaluation of test procedures, maintain an understanding of IT systems and data sources associated with lab discipline.

Job Requirements

In addition to bringing humankindness to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:

 

Required:

  • Bachelor degree in a Science field, required
  • 5 years clinical laboratory experience required
  • MLT or MLS/MT, from ASCP required

Preferred:

  • Master degree in Clinical Laboratory Science, Business, Healthcare Management, or related field, preferred
  • Doctorate degree in applied clinical discipline- preferred
  • Six Sigma Green or Black Belt or other process improvement training, preferred
  • Certified Project Manager, preferred
