Summary:

The Executive Vice President & Chief Revenue Officer (EVP, CRO) is a key member of the executive leadership team responsible for developing and executing the organization's revenue growth strategy. The EVP, CRO provides strategic leadership and oversight for all revenue-generating functions, including sales, business development, marketing, and revenue optimization initiatives across the lending, retail, cash management, and wealth solutions business lines. This executive drives sustainable growth, strengthens market position, enhances customer relationships, and ensures alignment between revenue-generating activities and operations staff while promoting the organization's mission, vision, and strategic objectives. The EVP, CRO collaborates closely with the CEO and executive leadership team to identify growth opportunities, expand market presence, improve customer experience, and maximize organizational performance.

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive revenue growth strategy aligned with organizational goals and long-term vision. 
  • Identify emerging market opportunities, competitive trends, and revenue diversification strategies. 
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO and Board of Directors regarding growth initiatives and revenue performance. 
  • Lead enterprise-wide planning efforts related to market expansion, customer acquisition, and retention.


Revenue Growth & Business Development 

  • Drive achievement of annual and long-term revenue goals across all business lines. 
  • Develop strategies to increase market share, expand relationships, and generate new business opportunities. 
  • Identify, negotiate, and cultivate strategic partnerships, alliances, and growth opportunities. 
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) that measure revenue performance and growth effectiveness.


Revenue Forecasting, and Enablement 

  • Develop a Revenue model function that enables scale, productivity, and consistency. 
  • Implement standardized forecasting methodologies that significantly improve predictability and transparency. 
  • Advance the use of data, analytics, and AI-driven tools across the sales and customer success ecosystem. 
  • Align compensation models and incentives with company growth objectives and long-term value creation.


Customer Relationship Growth, Retention, and Expansion

  • Lead customer relationship growth strategies with accountability for retention, relationship expansion, and revenue growth across retail banking, lending, cash management, and wealth solutions. 
  • Position customer retention, deepening relationships, and share-of-wallet expansion as core drivers of sustainable bank revenue and franchise value. 
  • Build scalable customer lifecycle programs that strengthen onboarding, product adoption, financial wellness, cross-sell opportunities, and long-term relationship value. 
  • Implement proactive customer engagement, relationship health, and early intervention strategies to identify attrition risk, resolve service issues, and protect customer relationships.


Sales Leadership

  • Provide leadership, coaching, and accountability for sales and business development teams. 
  • Design and implement sales strategies, processes, and performance management systems. 
  • Foster a high-performance, results-oriented culture focused on growth and relationship development.


Organizational Leadership and Talent Development 

  • Build and develop a high-performing Revenue leadership bench across all segments. 
  • Lead through organizational change by creating clarity across roles, segments, and expectations. 
  • Drive a strong performance and accountability culture, balancing growth targets with operational discipline. 
  • Improve employee engagement and team effectiveness while reducing regrettable attrition. 
  • Establish organizational health as a core leadership priority alongside revenue performance.


Marketing & Brand Strategy

  • Oversee marketing strategies that support revenue growth, brand awareness, and customer engagement. 
  • Ensure alignment of sales and marketing efforts to maximize lead generation and conversion. 
  • Leverage market intelligence and customer insights to strengthen positioning and drive growth.


Financial Performance & Analytics

  • Develop revenue forecasts, budgets, and growth projections. 
  • Utilize data analytics to evaluate performance, identify opportunities, and support strategic decision-making. 
  • Monitor profitability, pricing strategies, market penetration, and return on investment. 
  • Provide regular reporting to the CEO, executive team, and Board regarding revenue performance and growth initiatives.


Collaboration and Team Development

  • Build, mentor, and develop high-performing leaders and teams. 
  • Foster strong cross-functional collaboration and teamwork among sales, marketing, and operations. 
  • Represent the organization with key customers, community leaders, partners, and industry stakeholders.


Executive and Board Engagement

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO and executive leadership team. 
  • Communicate revenue performance, forecasts, risks, and strategic priorities to executive and Board stakeholders. 
  • Provide clear, data-driven insights to inform business decisions at the highest levels.


Required Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, or related field required.
  • Master's degree (MBA or related advanced degree) preferred.
  • Progressive executive leadership experience in revenue generation, sales, business development, or related functions.
  • Demonstrated success leading growth strategies and achieving revenue targets.
  • Experience managing large teams and multiple revenue-generating business lines.
  • Proven track record of developing strategic partnerships and market expansion initiatives.
  • Experience presenting to the Board of Directors and executive leadership teams.
  • Strong strategic planning and business acumen.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Expertise in sales management, revenue operations, forecasting, and performance analytics.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and lead organizational change.
  • Strong financial literacy and understanding of revenue drivers.
  • Data-driven decision-making capability with a focus on measurable results.

Supervisory Requirements:

This position supervises all sales divisions including lending, retail, wealth solutions, and marketing. 


Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional work environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, monitors, mouse, keyboard, phones, printers, scanners, photocopiers, filing cabinets, calculators, and fax machines. Due to the physical location of this position, phone ringing, and people conversing, it may be difficult to hear at times and therefore easily distracting.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Flexibility of schedule to meet business needs is required.


Salary: $215,000.00 - $420,000.00

Pay Transparency:

Salaries may vary based on geographic location, market data, and individual skills, experience, and education. This role is incentive-eligible, with payment based on company, business, and/or individual performance.
