Common Man Roadside Market and Deli is HIRING Assistant Store Managers for our Epsom store, located at the Epsom traffic circle on Routes 4 & 28!

Pay rate: $55k annually

The Assistant Store Manager will support the General Manager and their team in day-to-day store operations. Duties include:

  • Keeping the general store stocked, priced, and displayed to maximize profits
  • Daily paperwork, reporting, and logs
  • Maintaining positive vendor relationships
  • Scheduling, training, and supervising employees
  • Supporting operations in kitchen as needed, including preparing, cooking, and packaging of food items
  • Maintaining proper food safety, sanitation, and quality
  • Aiding in the cleanliness and appearance of the store and grounds

This is a working management role- our managers work alongside employees on the floor and in the kitchen, offer hands-on training, guidance, and development of staff, and assist customers.

Qualifications:

  • Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Minimum 3 years experience in retail management
  • Must be able to obtain/maintain relevant certifications, including Underground Storage Tank Operator A/B and ServSafe
  • Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time, kneel, squat, bend and reach
  • Must be able to lift/ carry packages up to 50 pounds
