  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and school staff.
  • Strong observation, data collection, and documentation skills.
  • Knowledge of behavior management techniques and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles.
  • Ability to adapt quickly and respond effectively in crisis situations.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities.

What You'll Have:

  • Associate degree or equivalent college coursework required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) in an educational setting preferred.
  • Experience supporting individuals with autism, developmental disabilities, behavioral challenges, or special education needs preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, computer applications, and communication technologies.
  • Ability to accurately document behavioral data and prepare written reports.
  • Physical ability to perform the requirements of the position, including responding to behavioral crises and supporting student safety.
  • Valid driver's license preferred for transportation-related responsibilities.

A Typical Day May Include:

  • Providing direct behavioral support to students in classrooms and school settings.
  • Responding to student behavioral crises and assisting with de-escalation strategies.
  • Implementing behavior intervention plans as designed by Behavior Specialists.
  • Assisting with behavioral assessments and preference assessments.
  • Collecting and documenting behavioral data to support ongoing treatment and educational planning.
  • Collaborating with teachers and support staff to promote positive student outcomes.
  • Modeling effective behavioral support techniques and providing guidance to classroom staff.
  • Participating in the development and refinement of individualized behavior support programs.
  • Monitoring student behavior and communicating significant changes to the Behavior Specialist.
  • Supporting student transitions throughout the school day and assisting with transportation needs when assigned.
