The Erie-Western Pennsylvania Port Authority is seeking a Maintenance Worker for immediate hire to join our team. As a Maintenance Crew Member, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks to ensure the maintenance and upkeep of our facilities and equipment.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Performing general maintenance and repair work on buildings, facilities, and equipment.
- Conducting landscaping and groundskeeping tasks such as mowing, trimming, litter and trash pickups.
- Assisting in the maintenance and repair of docks, piers, and other waterfront structures.
- The operation of varying types of equipment and vehicles ranging from small lawn care equipment to backhoes and tractors, and their respective attachments. Also including golf carts, pickup and dump trucks.
- Perform other related duties as assigned in support of Port operations.
We are looking for a self-motivated individual with a positive attitude and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. The ideal candidate should have a valid driver's license and the ability to work outside in various weather conditions. Previous experience in general maintenance and repairs is preferred.
This is a seasonal position with the opportunity for growth within the Erie-Western Pennsylvania Port Authority. This position is 40 hours per week and may include working weekends.
To be considered for the Facility Attendant position, candidates should meet the following requirements:
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Comfortable using a Windows based computer and reservation software (training will be provided).
- Ability to perform general upkeep, cleaning, and landscaping as needed.
Opportunity to receive holiday pay and overtime.
Wage: $15/hour
