- Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) rates range from $22.12/hr to $32.13/hr.
- Sr. Medical Laboratory Technician rates range from $23.50/hr to $34.08/hr.
- Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) rates range from $27.78/hr to $36.58/hr.
- Sr. Medical Laboratory Scientist rates range from $29.73/hr to $41.64/hr.
Up to $15,000 sign-on bonus available for eligible candidates!
In this role, there is the opportunity to -
- Process specimens for analysis following established protocols for precision, accuracy, and timeliness.
- Identify and follow up on critical, abnormal, and unacceptable test results according to predefined procedures.
- Troubleshoot problems with instrumentation, methodology, specimens, supplies, or results, and implement solutions based on predetermined protocols.
- Participate in test development, methodology evaluation, and equipment selection and implementation.
- Perform and document quality control procedures in compliance with established guidelines.
- Inform supervisors or pathologists promptly of any incidents or issues encountered.
- Operate, maintain, and perform minor repairs on laboratory equipment.
- Enter patient demographic and test information accurately into the laboratory information system.
- Uphold patient confidentiality in accordance with regulatory and ethical standards.
- Monitor and maintain laboratory supplies, ensuring availability and proper storage.
Title and starting pay rate of this position may vary based on experience and education.
Medical Laboratory Scientist:
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college/university AND successful completion of an accredited Medical Lab Scientist program OR
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college/university with a major in biological, chemical, or clinical laboratory science AND ASCP or equivalent categorical or MLT certification OR
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college/university with a major in biological, chemical, physical, or clinical laboratory science AND at least two years' experience in a role equivalent to that of a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) in a clinical laboratory.Â
Medical Lab Technician:
- Associate's degree in a laboratory science with certification (or eligible new graduate) from an accredited institution as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)Â OR
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited institution with a major in biological, chemical, physical, or clinical laboratory science, with 6 months of clinical laboratory experience OR
- Equivalent education and experience as defined by CLIA '88 for individuals performing high complexity testing

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
Medical Laboratory Technician MLT(ASCP) or Clinical Laboratory Assistant (CLA) certification preferred. New York license required for NY locations.
