View our Parks and Recreation Department Culture video by clicking here.    Part-Time, Hourly    2026 Hiring Range:    $18.56hr - $20.88/hr    2026 Full Range:    $18.56/hr - $23.20/hr    Posting Dates: Posting will remain open until positions are filled   ** All incomplete applications will be withdrawn from the process once the positions are filled.          Accommodations   If you require reasonable accommodation to complete a job application, pre-employment testing, or a job interview or to otherwise participate in the hiring process, please contact Risk Management and Recruitment at RiskManagement@erieco.gov and Recruitment@erieco.gov.      To review the full job description(s), including a full list of duties and physical & environmental factors, visit our Job Description page here.       Anticipated Work Schedule: Schedule may vary depending on program-specific needs and scheduled events.    Duties and Responsibilities  Aquatics Duties  Assists Performs a variety of regular and routine poolside and water safety duties to ensure the safe use of pool facilities.  Maintains constant alertness and awareness of patron activities, both poolside and in locker rooms, to minimize exposure or threat of incident or accident.  Ensures the safety of guests and program participants by enforcing all rules and policies with staff and guests.  Responds to emergency situations, performs water rescues, administer first aid, CPR and other medical attention as needed.  Performs scheduled service and maintenance of facility; cleans decks, walls, windows, pool equipment, locker rooms, and other assigned areas.  Inspects program equipment and facilities, including conducting water checks. Reports any issues or concerns with facility conditions, policies, incidents, water quality or other unsafe conditions to supervisory staff as needed.    Administrative Duties  Completes a variety of paperwork including daily records, logs and incident reports.  Attends Skill Checks and in-service training.  Maintains frequent communications with other staff and volunteers within the Community Center and Division.
