Job Title: Domestic Operations Specialist

Position Overview

A transportation and logistics organization is seeking a strong Domestic Operations professional based in the Cincinnati / Northern Kentucky market. This is a fully on-site role and an immediate hire.

This is not an entry-level coordinator position. The focus is on an experienced operator who understands domestic freight execution and can confidently manage FTL and LTL operations while protecting margin and service quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle domestic freight operations across FTL and LTL

• Execute carrier procurement and negotiate competitive rates

• Track and manage shipments from pickup through final delivery

• Proactively resolve service failures, delays, and claims

• Communicate directly with customers, carriers, and internal teams

• Maintain margin integrity and ensure profitable execution

• Handle high-volume shipment flow with urgency and accuracy

• Partner cross-functionally with sales to support account growth and retention

• Maintain accurate updates within TMS and internal systems

Requirements

• 2+ years of domestic brokerage or 3PL operations experience

• Strong understanding of FTL and LTL freight execution

• Experience operating in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

• Proven ability to negotiate with carriers and manage capacity

• Strong problem-solving and service recovery skills

• Detail-oriented with commercial awareness of margin impact

• Comfortable working fully onsite in Erlanger, KY

• High accountability and ownership mindset
