Quality Assurance Coordinator

Join Our Team

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Quality Assurance Coordinator to support quality assurance and operational documentation activities at our Erskine railcar repair facility. This position plays a critical role in ensuring inspection records, repair documentation, certifications, and quality data are accurately maintained and readily available to support customer requirements, regulatory compliance, and company quality standards.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with documentation, data entry, recordkeeping, and administrative processes in a fast-paced industrial environment. 

This is an on-site position based at our Erskine, MN facility. Remote and hybrid work arrangements are not available for this role.

What You'll Do

As the Quality Assurance Coordinator, you will provide administrative and documentation support to the Quality and Operations teams by:

  • Entering and maintaining inspection, repair, and quality-related records in company systems.
  • Organizing, filing, and archiving quality documentation and certifications.
  • Reviewing documentation for completeness and required supporting information.
  • Assisting with customer documentation packages and audit preparation.
  • Maintaining records required for AAR, FRA, customer, and company compliance.
  • Tracking employee qualifications, certifications, and training records.
  • Monitoring outstanding inspection, repair, and quality documentation and following up with responsible personnel when needed.
  • Preparing routine reports, spreadsheets, and quality-related data summaries.
  • Maintaining document control records and ensuring quality files are organized and accessible.
  • Supporting Quality Inspectors, Estimators, Supervisors, and Operations personnel with documentation requirements.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and electronic filing systems.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • One to three years of administrative, clerical, data entry, or manufacturing support experience.
  • Associate degree in Business Administration or a related field.
  • Experience working with spreadsheets, databases, and document management systems.
  • Experience in manufacturing, transportation, industrial maintenance, railcar repair, or other regulated environments.
