Novaspect, Inc., an Emerson Impact Partner, the global leader of automation systems and solutions, is currently offering an opportunity for a Reliability Specialist to join our fast paced, customer-oriented team. We need someone who enjoys taking the initiative to produce timely and accurate results! The successful candidate will apply and implement predictive technologies for the successful execution of reliability service contracts.
Reliability Specialist Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Providing analysis and concise reports on recommendations for repairs and urgency for problems identifiedÂ
- Developing and maintain working knowledge of routine and advanced data acquisition techniques, such as knowledge in spectral, time waveform, and Peakvue analysisÂ
- Providing setup on vibration routes for routine monitoring on diverse plant equipment and provide database maintenance on a regular and consistent basisÂ
- Developing and maintain advanced knowledge and experience in balancing rotating equipment and laser alignment on complex machine trainsÂ
- Planning, scheduling and managing travel, appointments, and activities independentlyÂ
- Responding to customer requests in a timely and professional mannerÂ
- Making difficult decisions independently in ambiguous situationsÂ
- Providing training to reliability techniciansÂ
- Traveling to customer sites throughout Novaspect's territory, Novaspect branch offices, and other locations as requiredÂ
- Perform other duties as requiredÂ
Reliability Specialist Education and/or Experience:
- High school diploma requiredÂ
- Experience with multiple predictive technologies preferredÂ
- Experience with Asset Management/Reliability programs and associated software & service programs preferredÂ
- CAT II Vibration Analysis Certification or equivalent certifications requiredÂ
Reliability Specialist Additional Requirements:
- Â Knowledge of machinery fundamentals, including pumps, motors, gearboxes, blowers, compressors, etc.Â
- Working knowledge in Microsoft SuiteÂ
- Detailed knowledge of general mechanical fundamentals, such as fits and tolerancesÂ
- Strong understanding of electro-mechanical fundamentalsÂ
- Excellent verbal communication skillsÂ
- Exceptional team player with a solution focusÂ
- Ability to comply with customer site safety regulationsÂ
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and extended hoursÂ
Reliability Specialist Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50lbsÂ
- Ability of hands to grasp and manipulate small objects/toolsÂ
- Ability to work with hand toolsÂ
- Ability to work at heightsÂ
- Ability to stoop, crawl and crouch while working on equipment on hands and kneesÂ
- Ability to work in confined spacesÂ
- Ability to work on your feet for 8 hours per dayÂ
- Ability to work in a loud industrial environmentÂ
- Comfortable working around industrial equipment with exposed moving partsÂ
- Ability to climb stairs with up to 20lbsÂ
- Ability to climb a 20ft+ ladder with equipmentÂ
- Ability to drive on average 3-4 hours at a timeÂ
- Ability to drive 8 hours as needed in a day – although not typicalÂ
- Ability to work in high and cold temperature environments for extended hoursÂ
- Ability to have a face free from hair on occasions when needing to wear a respiratorÂ
- Ability to work on a computer for an extended periodÂ
Reliability Specialist Pay:
- Salary Range: $70,000-$105,000
- Bonus potential: 5%
