What we're looking for?
The Construction Survey Coordinator plays a key role in supporting our field survey crews and project managers by coordinating construction staking efforts and preparing accurate proposals and estimates. This hybrid role requires both strong organizational skills and technical knowledge to bridge the gap between the field, office, and client.Â
What you have
Education + Experience
Construction Survey CoordinationÂ
- Coordinate and schedule construction staking services for active land development projectsÂ
- Communicate with field crews, project managers, engineers, and contractors to clarify scope, timing, and deliverablesÂ
- Review construction plans, control data, and CAD files to prepare for field stakingÂ
- Ensure proper documentation and QA/QC of staking deliverablesÂ
- Track project progress and proactively manage deadlines, materials, and crew workloadsÂ

Estimating & Proposal SupportÂ
- Prepare detailed and competitive estimates and proposals for construction staking servicesÂ
- Analyze construction documents, specifications, and plans to determine required servicesÂ
- Collaborate with survey managers and engineers to develop project scope and cost breakdownsÂ
- Maintain cost databases and historical pricing informationÂ
- Assist in budget tracking and change order preparation throughout the project lifecycleÂ
What you have
Education + Experience
- 4+ years of experience in land surveying, with at least 2 years in construction staking coordinationÂ
- 2+ years of experience in estimating survey work or related civil engineering services.Â
- Strong understanding of land development processes and construction documentsÂ
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, AutoCAD/Civil 3D, and project management softwareÂ
- Familiarity with local regulations, survey standards, and construction practicesÂ
Physical Requirements and/or Working Conditions
- Prolonged periods of sitting (up to 8 hours a day for office staff)
- Interacting with technology (computer, cellphone, etc.)
- Ability to lift and/or carry items ( up to 20 lbs.)
- Prolonged periods of standing/walking (field checks)
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions (field checks)
- Occasional travel e.g. driving to offices, jobsites, client meetings, etc.
