Overview

Mauzy Cooling, Heating, Plumbing & Electrical is looking for a skilled and experienced individual to join our team as an HVAC Operations Manager. The HVAC Operations Manager is primarily responsible for the supervision and coordination of all HVAC projects and technicians. The ideal candidate for this position has a strong background in the HVAC industry and demonstrates an ability to train and lead a dynamic team.

Responsibilities:

  • Day-to-day leadership and oversight of HVAC service, dispatch, warehouse, and other necessary departments to ensure timely and accurate service to customers in accordance with company standards and procedures.
  • Plan, forecast, and coordinate service team tasks from scheduling through completion. Communicate clear performance expectations and operational goals to HVAC department.
  • Manage a high-volume HVAC Service department, ensuring efficient workflows, resource allocation and consistent service executions.
  • Prepare and manage the operations budget, track labor and material costs, and identify opportunities for improvements. Support accurate job quoting, material ordering, inventory and other costs are accounted for.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback to service and installation technicians to enhance technical and operational performance. Monitor KPIs including technician productivity, call back rate, average tickets, job profitability etc.
  • Evaluate workload and schedule of service work in a way that best utilizes service technicians.
  • Ensure all operational activities comply with company policies, safety & industry standards.

Qualifications:

 

  • 5+ years residential HVAC operations/management experience
  • Demonstrate strong technical knowledge and understanding of residential HVAC systems and equipment.
  • Proven track record of leading high performing teams in a fast paced, customer focused environment.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, organizational and problem solving skills with ability to make data driven decisions.

 

 

Pay Transparency:  

The starting average rate for this opportunity is $130k-$150k. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market demands. Other rewards may include incentive plan opportunities and annual bonus eligibility. We provide a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO). A candidate’s salary history will not be used in compensation decisions. Please note that the compensation information is a good faith estimate for this position. It assumes a rate based on location and experience. 

 

Physical Demands:

 

  • Stand/Sit: Must be able to remain in stationary position 50% of the time.
  • May be required to bend, climb (Stairs/Ladders), do repetitive motion, kneel, reach, squat, stand, crawl, walk, and run
  • May be required to drive and sit for long periods of time
  • Must be able to maneuver up to 75 lb. by lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling.
  • May be required to work in outdoor weather conditions.
