SUMMARY:Â Baker Electric is seeking a highly skilled and self-motivated Mobile Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience maintaining and repairing heavy construction and utility equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy-duty equipment in the field
- Perform preventive maintenance per manufacturer and company standards
- Troubleshoot diesel, hydraulic, electrical, drivetrain, and DEF systems
- Conduct BIT and DOT inspections
- Utilize electronic diagnostic tools
- Maintain accurate service records
- Communicate equipment status and safety concerns
- Occasional out-of-town travel

- Excavators
- Skid Steers
- Backhoes
- Dump Trucks
- Crane Trucks
- Bucket Trucks
- Trenchers
- Bore Rigs
- Arrow Boards
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a heavy duty or mobile equipment mechanic
- High school diploma or GED
- Advanced mechanical and diagnostic knowledge
- Ability to read technical manuals
- Valid driver’s license
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS:
- CDL Class A or B
- ASE T2–T6 Certifications
- OEM Certifications (CAT, Deere, Komatsu, Cummins, Allison)
- IFPS Hydraulic Certification
- California BIT Inspector Certification
- OSHA 10 or 30
- Welding Certification (up to ½ inch)
- EPA 609 Certification
- CPR / First Aid

The starting salary for this opportunity range is listed.
