POSITION SUMMARY

The Project Manager is responsible for managing finish carpentry projects from bid coordination through project completion. This role oversees estimating, proposals, job costing, scheduling, and execution for commercial carpentry projects, including big‑box retail remodels, tenant improvements, and repeat-client work. The Project Manager serves as the primary liaison between field crews, company leadership, and general contractors to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards.


KEY RESPOSIBILITIES

Include but are not limited to:

  • Prepare detailed estimates, takeoffs, and pricing for commercial, finish carpentry projects
  • Assemble and submit proposals and bid packages in coordination with leadership
  • Review plans, specifications, and scopes of work to identify labor, material, and scheduling requirements
  • Assist with bid follow‑ups and value engineering as needed
  • Plan, schedule, and manage carpentry projects from award through close‑out
  • Coordinate labor, materials, and subcontracted work to meet project timelines
  • Monitor job costs, track budgets, and manage change orders
  • Conduct regular follow‑ups on project status, schedule, and budget performance
  • Ensure work is completed in accordance with plans, specifications, and quality standards


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in construction project management, estimating, or related roles
  • Experience managing finish carpentry, commercial remodel, tenant improvement, or similar construction projects
  • Working knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, and scopes of work
  • Experience with estimating, job costing, budgeting, and scheduling
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment
  • Proficiency with basic computer applications (email, spreadsheets, project documentation)
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites, as needed



Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with small construction or specialty subcontractor teams
  • Familiarity with big‑box retail remodels or repetitive commercial work
  • Background in finish carpentry or hands‑on trade experience


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to visit active construction sites and work in varying conditions
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb as required for site inspections
  • Ability to lift and carry materials or equipment up to 40 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Ability to safely navigate job sites while complying with safety requirements and PPE standards
