At McIntosh Trail Community Service Board, we offer individuals experiencing symptoms associated with mental illness, addictive disease and/or developmental disability the hope for optimal functioning and recovery by providing quality behavioral health services and supports.

Summary

Under direct supervision, assists with daily living activities at the person's home, in a daytime non-residential facility or a residential facility. Observes and monitors client's behavior and charts observations and incidents. Provides training of basic personal and social skills, simple academics, or work skills to consumers/students in hospital, residence, group home, workshop, or supported employment environment.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures that all applicable services are authorized prior to rendering services.
  • Demonstrates competence in direct service work with individuals and or their family members.
  • Follow through on individual treatment plans and interventions. Seek consultation and supervision in cases and participate in staffing for Peer referrals.
  • Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Certified Peer Specialist or person with two years abstinence in recovery and eligible for becoming a CARES within a year.
  • Note: Some positions require a valid Georgia's Driver's License.
