AdmissionsPosition Summary
Provides routine advice, guidance, and assistance to departments, employees and/or members of the general public related to application of policies, procedures and documentation regarding the admissions process. Provides information on available programs and eligibility requirements; reviews applications and related documentation for compliance, provides assistance to students and parents in completion of admissions applications. Resolves routine process problems as they arise, and ensures customer service satisfaction. Manages, expedites, and maintains files, records and other documents.Duties & Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact for visitors, students, and families—providing friendly, accurate information about academic programs, admissions, registration, and college resources in person, by phone, and online.
- Review, process, and evaluate applications and supporting documents to determine admission eligibility and residency status, ensuring accuracy and completeness while following all guidelines and regulations.
- Communicate with students to resolve issues, request missing information, and provide clear guidance throughout the admissions and enrollment process.
- Maintain and manage student records in both physical and electronic systems, including data entry, document tracking, and record compliance with state regulations.
- Coordinate incoming and outgoing communications, including transcripts, mail, and routine correspondence, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
- Supervise, train, and support student workers.
- Uphold the highest ethical standards and ensure compliance with all college, state, and federal policies.
- Perform other related duties as assigned and maintain regular attendance.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- High School diploma/Equivalency and two years of related experience in a college setting and/or an Associate’s degree.
- Proficient in MS Software Applications: word, Excel and Access.
- Good communication skill, particularly in the composition and mechanics of writing.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proficient in Banner Administration applications.

- Ability to provide excellent customer service
- Ability to interact effectively as a member of a team and work collaboratively with other departments.
- Strong interpersonal Skills with both faculty and student populations.
- Ability to analyze and solve problems and to make evaluative judgments.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Skills in database management, records maintenance, word processing and data entry.
- Knowledge of Admissions policies, and eligibility requirements.
- Ability to make administrative/procedural decisions and judgments with skills in gathering data, compiling information, and preparing reports and budgets.
- Ability to perform complex tasks and to prioritize multiple projects with skills in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
- Ability to complete moderately complex administrative paperwork.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Requires frequent and continuous sitting/moving about.
- Ability to push/pull up to 50 lbs with the use of a dolly/cart.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment .
