This person will act as the onsite HR resource for the facility and lead hiring initiatives for production personnel. Willing to consider alternative schedules that support operations Areas of Accountability All areas of accountability to be delivered with GRIT - our values of Generosity, Relationships, Integrity, and Teamwork Hiring & Onboarding Benefits & Payroll Support Management & Employee Support Essential Duties and Responsibilities Protect human resources operations by keeping information confidential Partner closely with managers and Corporate HR to understand staffing needs Screen applications, set up and conduct interviews, and extend job offers to qualified candidates Assist candidates through various pre-employment steps including the I-9, E-Verify, background check, and drug screen Lead and/or support new hire onboarding, ensuring all paperwork and tasks are completed in a timely manner Conduct and/or assist with new hire stay interviews, quarterly conversations, and exit interviews Serve as on-site HR resource for all employees at the complex, with direction and support from Corporate HR Staff Lead benefits orientation and online enrollment Serve as on-site HR resource for all employees at the complex, with direction and support from Corporate HR Staff Translate individual conversations and larger employee meetings and announcements; confirm translations of written documents, as requested Verify employee timecards and ensure employees have submitted PTO requests for all absences Enter payroll deductions for employee-purchased equipment Respond to employee issues and concerns by bringing forward to Director of HR; partner with investigations, as needed Identify and follow through with HR improvement projects and initiatives Help coordinate employee meals, celebrations, and donation activities Participate in community outreach and recruiting activities, as driven and/or requested by Corporate HR Assist Safety Trainer with accident/injury reporting, as needed Provide backup support for hog payables, as needed Maintain regular and predictable on-site attendance Travel less than 10%, annually Situations may arise that require employees to temporarily or permanently assume responsibility for tasks not specifically outlined in this job description. Employees may be requested to work additional hours and/or accommodate a heavier than normal workload. Qualifications Degree in HR or business, preferred; or comparable education and/or experience Bilingual (English & Spanish), required Experience in full scope hiring and onboarding, preferred Ability to communicate professionally and strategically with managers, directors, or other stakeholders verbally or in writing Working knowledge of relevant employment legislation Proficient with technology and the Microsoft Office Suite; Experience with the use of an HRIS and ATS High level of organization, proficiency, accuracy, discretion, and confidentiality Experience in a high-volume, multi-location environment, preferred Strong sense of initiative and independent problem-solving with the ability to manage time and deadlines with little supervision Ability to attain and/or maintain a standard driver’s license Physical Requirements Perform desk work (sitting or standing) for up to 100% of workday Repetitively use wrist, hand, and/or fingers Qualifications
