Job Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITIONS: 

  • Develop Team Members through coaching and mentoring. 

  • Possess a sense of urgency, accountability, and be able to work with limited supervision. 

  • Interact closely with Production, Engineering and Quality to effectively plan and execute Kanban requirements to support Plant requirements.  

  • Coordinates and implements effective material handling techniques to assure material availability while achieving defined Kanban levels. 

  • Establish and maintain effective communications with all departments. 

  • Assure that materials pulled are in accordance with FIFO methods 

  • Assist with continuous improvement projects as assigned. 

  • Assure that 5S activities are conducted daily and necessary communication is in place for the handling of special projects or situations. 

  • Performs other duties as assigned. 

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS: 

  • General understanding of computers and handheld RF equipment. 

  • Ability to work as part of a team and lead. 

  • Flexibility in working overtime when needed, and supplying coverage to other shifts. 

  • Attention to detail and quality a must. 

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: 

General factory environment with occasional expectations of the employee functional job description. Some of the physical demands of this position include sitting for prolonged periods of time, walking up and down staircases, occasional lifting, and occasional stooping and bending.Able to address and resolve ambiguity; prioritize, multi-task and work independently. 

 

EQUIPMENT / TOOLS USED: 

Some of the equipment and tools used are sit down fork lift, tugger, carts, walkies, RF Scanners 

 

KNOWLEDGE: 

  • Basic understanding of material flow operations 

  • Understanding of mobile equipment inspection and operations 

 

EDUCATION:   

  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma 

 

WORK EXPERIENCE: 

High Experience working with mobile equipment, FIFO, PFEP, and other Lean or continuous improvements concepts and practices are highly desired.
