The Corrugating Set-Up Operator will be able to set up all 12 Corrugating Work Centers to work instructions within specified timeframe and with an end result of a corrugated hose meeting specified tolerance. Will assist in process improvements and advance troubleshooting. Required to cross train across company departments based on business needs.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Uses necessary controls and equipment needed to set-up the manufacturing of Corrugated Hose with minimal guidance or help
  • Able to complete a set-up within the allotted set-up target
  • Able to read and follow a pre-designed set-up sheet
  • Demonstrates ability for additional decision making opportunities based on knowledge and experience of manufactured Corrugated Hose
  • Requires very little help setting up and operating equipment while running a routine part.
  • Able to diagnose and troubleshoot common process variables
  • Uses RFA to offer ideas and solutions with involvement from Plant Management Team
  • Recognizes and solves non-routine problems with guidance when needed

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds; push/pull up to 70 pounds; transfer 50 – 100 pounds with the help of another person.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to bend, squat, stoop, twist and kneel.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools.
  • Must be able to work a minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • Must have good vision - especially color vision due to color coding.
