Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Lead Assembler to oversee daily operations for our assembly department. This position will be ultimately responsible for the smooth running of product completed in their department and the quality of the product being produced. Our expectations are that you posses a deep know-how coupled with a can-do attitude in production processes/procedures. Ability to direct personnel towards maximum performance will set you apart as a leader. The goal is to ensure an efficient and productive process that meets customer expectations, while fostering an engaged workforce.

Required Experiences:

  • 3+ years of managing experience
  • Able to read and interrupt multi-page blueprints.
  • Must have solid working knowledge of current OSHA and safety procedures
  • Keen organizational skills
  • Ability to work within a team environment developing long term relationships within the organization
  • Proven experience as production leader
  • Understanding of quality standards
  • Outstanding communication ability
  • Excellent organizational and leaderships skills
  • Ability to manage time and work independently or with other team members
  • Attention to detail

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with other managers to formulate objectives and understand requirements
  • Supervise, direct and evaluate performance of production personnel
  • Monitor daily and weekly production levels and resolve issues that interfere
  • Enforce health and safety policies by setting the standard for workplace safety.
  • Report to upper management
  • Manage direct report's time and PTO requests
  • Stock product and supplies in warehouse.
  • Work closely with sales and accounting to complete work orders.
  • Receive, fill and ship complex part orders.
  • Prepare sales slips and shipping documents.
  • Mark and store parts in stockroom according to prearranged system.
  • Keep warehouse and stockroom clean and organized.
  • The use of common hand tools and occasionally sharp tools are involved.
  • Assists in overseeing daily work and productivity of Shipping and receiving clerks.
  • Other Duties as required or assigned by leadership team.

Physical Demands:

  • Push/Pull/Lift/Moving 50 pounds repeatedly
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach with hands and arms, and use hands to lift, feel, handle or free objects.
  • The employee must be able to work in all weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold, as well as wet weather.
  • The use of common hand tools and occasionally sharp tools are involved.
  • The employee frequently is required to talk, hear, and communicate with other employees.
