Job DetailsJob Location: Prairie West Shop - Eugene, OR 97402Position Type: Full TimeLane Forest Products is looking for a dependable, hardworking Mechanic Shop Assistant / Parts Runner to support our mechanics and maintenance team. This is a great entry-level opportunity for someone who enjoys working around trucks and equipment, likes staying busy, and wants to learn more about a mechanical shop environment. What You'll Do Pick up and deliver parts and supplies for the mechanics Help receive, organize, label, and put away parts Clean and organize mechanic work areas Clean parts and equipment as directed Help mechanics with basic tasks when needed Keep tools, supplies, and shop materials organized Assist with general shop cleanup and housekeeping Help make sure the shop is safe, clean, and efficient Perform other general shop duties as needed What We're Looking For Dependable and punctual Positive attitude and willingness to help Organized and able to follow directions Comfortable working in an active mechanic/shop environment Able to work independently once given a task Willing to learn Valid driver's license and good driving record Able to safely lift and move parts, tools, and supplies Mechanical interest or basic mechanical knowledge is a plus, but mechanic experience is not required This Could Be a Great Fit If You...
