Willamette Valley Cancer Institute and Research Center is searching for a Supervisor of Clinical Support Services to oversee the Clinical Support Services team. This individual will take part in team-schedule maintenance, hiring and staffing interviews, review clinical policies, procedures, and job aids, staff training, work intermittently in the clinic as a registered dietitian or social worker, and much more. Clinical experience and previous management experience required.

 

The general pay scale for this position at WVCI is $95,000.00 - $125,00.00. The actual hiring rate is dependent on many factors, including but not limited to: prior work experience, education, job/position responsibilities, location, work performance, internal equity, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Work intermittently in the clinic as a Registered Dietitian or Licensed Social Worker to maintain clinical skills and provide direct patient care.
  • Oversight of Clinical Support Services at multiple sites.
  • Ensure clinical operations are consistent with organizational objectives.
  • Coordinate education and competencies for staff.
  • Coordinate adequate staffing for assigned staff schedules. Leads the interview and hiring process of personnel.
  • Conduct quarterly performance evaluations for department staff.
  • Assist Director of Clinical Support Services with the review and revision of clinical policies, procedures and job aids.
  • Coordinate patient support programs and resources.
  • Develop and maintain relations with community agencies and healthcare organizations to promote a broad base of support for patients and families.
  • Oversee the development and management of patient resources, including internal data tracking.
  • Lead and support the team with value-based care initiatives and any other practice wide initiatives.
  • Serve as mentor/preceptor and provide day-to-day guidance to department staff.
  • Arrange and lead all team meetings.
  • Ensure schedules and timecard record keeping are complete and maintained.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) or MS, RD
  • Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Minimum of three years in a leadership position
  • Registered Dietitian or Licensed Social Worker
  • Clinical experience
  • Current CPR certification is required

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The work environment may include exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medical preparations and other conditions common to an oncology/hematology clinic environment. Work will involve in-person interaction with co-workers and management and/or clients. Work may require minimal travel by automobile to office sites.
