HVAC Service Technician

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced HVAC Technicians for projects located in or around Eugene, OR.  This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is $30-$35/hour based on experience and skill level.  If you are a HVAC Technician and want to work alongside other proven craftsmen who emphasize safety, productivity and superior craftsmanship, this is your chance to advance your career! 

Job Scope:        

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, service, and repair residential HVAC systems
• Complete residential service calls, scheduled maintenance, and inspections
• Troubleshoot electrical circuits, controls, and HVAC components
• Repair or replace defective equipment, components, and wiring
• Install and adjust thermostats and HVAC controls
• Service heat pumps, air conditioners, gas and electric furnaces, ductless mini-splits, boilers, and water heaters
• Test refrigerant systems and piping for leaks
• Use multimeters, refrigerant gauges, vacuum pumps, recovery machines, and standard HVAC hand tools
• Explain repairs, recommendations, and available options to customers
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of residential HVAC service experience
• Residential retrofit and service experience
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Honest, dependable, and professional
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to lift 50–75 lbs.
• Comfortable working in crawlspaces, attics, and on rooftops
• Ability to obtain and maintain required industry certifications
• Must be able to successfully complete required drug screening
• Must be able to successfully complete background and DMV/driving record checks
