Primary Responsibility:
Sets up and operates CNC Lathe ā machines/inspects parts per drawing

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Sets up machine ā set up tooling ā install/machine soft jaws as required
- Downloads program via computer.
- Make offsets to maintain part dimension tolerance. Responsible for ensuring each part is made within designated specifications.
- Inspects parts using precision measuring instruments ā micrometers ā calipers ā depth micrometers bore gages ā plug gages.
- Operates hoist / automatic band saw - Saw parts to required specification as required.
- Follows all Safety instructions and practices.
- Follows work instructions in place.

Minimum Qualifications
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Good mechanical skills.
- Basic machine shop practices
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments.
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Basic math skills.
Ā
Education/Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Trade School or pervious machine shop experience preferred
Ā
Physical requirements
- Able to lift 35 lbs. on occasion
- Stand for extended periods - 2 hour periods
- Some overtime required
