We are looking for a General Dentist to join our integrated care team at our Burre Dental Center, in Eureka, California.

Practice at Dental Services – Open Door Community Health Centers

As a Dentist, you'll practice at the full scope of general dentistry to all ages while developing meaningful, long-term relationships with your patients. You'll provide preventive, diagnostic, restorative, and urgent dental care for individuals with diverse and often complex oral health needs. Working alongside interdisciplinary colleagues, you'll help address the social, behavioral, and medical factors that impact oral health while improving access to quality dental care in a community that truly values your work.

Eureka, California: Eureka is historic coastal city that sits along Humboldt Bay and is known as the heart of California’s Redwood Coast. As the largest coastal city between San Francisco and Portland, Eureka serves as the region’s center for healthcare, commerce, and cultural life while maintaining a relaxed, small-town feel. The area offers abundant opportunities for outdoor recreation, including hiking, kayaking, and fishing. The community is known for its vibrant arts scene, Victorian architecture, a range of public, charter, and private school options, along with a strong sense of community reflected in local events, youth sports, and year-round markets and festivals.

Education & Experience

  • Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from an accredited dental school
  • Completion of an accredited General Practice Residency (GPR) or Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) program preferred
  • Two to five years of clinical experience preferred, particularly in community health, public health, rural practice, or caring for underserved populations
  • CAP-exempt visa sponsorship available
  • Opportunity to participate in our optional one-year AEGD Residency Program with NYU Langone which holds an 80% post-residency retention rate at ODCHC

Required Licensure & Certifications

Prior to employment, candidates must possess:

  • Current, unrestricted California dental license
  • Current DEA registration
  • Current CPR/BLS certification
  • Valid California driver's license with an insurable driving record
