This role ensures the delivery of trauma-informed, therapeutic care while maintaining compliance with all regulatory requirements. The Supervisor provides leadership, guidance, and oversight to direct care staff and ensures the program operates safely, effectively, and in alignment with agency standards. Key Responsibilities: Ensure full compliance with all applicable regulations and standards, including Community Care Licensing and Department of Health Care Services requirements. Oversee accurate and timely completion of all program documentation (e.g., MARs, incident reports, required regulatory filings) and maintain audit readiness. Monitor daily program operations, staffing, and schedules to ensure adequate coverage, compliance with ratios, and efficient use of resources. Supervise, train, and support staff, including hiring, onboarding, performance management, and ongoing professional development. Facilitate staff meetings and provide coaching on trauma-informed care, behavior management, and de-escalation techniques. Support implementation of individualized treatment plans and collaborate with clinical teams, including therapists, psychiatrists, and external service providers. Maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment for youth in care. Oversee program budgets, financial tracking, and required administrative reporting to leadership. Coordinate with external partners (e.g., social workers, Child and Family Teams) and participate in interagency meetings. Evaluate program effectiveness, address complaints, and implement continuous quality improvement initiatives. Ensure compliance with safety procedures, inspections, and required reporting. Perform additional duties as needed to support effective operation of the STRTP program. QualificationsEducation and/or Experience Preferably Bachelor's degree (BA) from four-year college or university; Associate degree (A.A.) with one to two years’ experience; or three to four years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in a residential or STRTP setting   Prior supervisory or leadership experience   Demonstrated knowledge and experience with MARs, SIRs, SCARs, and regulatory compliance (CCL and DHCS)   Experience managing employee schedules and program operations   Strong ability to communicate and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external partners   Knowledge of trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, and behavioral management strategies   Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills Conditions of Employment: May work across all agency programs as needed. Occasional flexible work schedule required to meet individual client needs. Must possess a valid CA Driver’s License, current auto insurance, and a clean DMV printout (no more than 3 points). Must pass a clear background check with DOJ, CACI, FBI, CCL. CPR and First Aid Certified. TB Exam and Physical at the time of employment. Driving Requirement: This position requires the use of a personal vehicle for business purposes and on-call rotation.  Other Requirements:Driving is a required function of this position. Employees must use a personal vehicle that meet all agency requirements, including maintaining liability insurance that meets or exceeds state requirements. Employees are responsible for ensuring the timely renewal of their vehicle insurance policies and providing updated documentation to the agency to remain in good standing and compliant with position requirements.
