The HR Supervisor plays a pivotal role in supporting the Human Resources department by overseeing recruitment, onboarding, and our International Student Program. This position is essential in fostering a high-performing workforce and enhancing the overall employee experience. The HR Supervisor will manage various aspects of the employee lifecycle, ensuring compliance with company policies and employment regulations, while also promoting a culture of engagement and satisfaction among team members.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Direct and manage all HR functions, with a focus on high-volume recruitment, onboarding processes, and the International Student Program.
- Assist in developing and implementing effective recruitment strategies to attract and retain qualified talent.
- Lead the onboarding process, ensuring a smooth transition for new hires and compliance with training documentation.
- Support the development and execution of training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
- Manage employee communications, fostering a positive work environment and addressing team member inquiries.
- Handle sensitive and confidential employee information with discretion and integrity.
- Address complex employee relations issues, providing sound judgment and professionalism in resolving conflicts.
- Ensure compliance with all Federal, State, and Local employment laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure effective staffing and workforce planning aligned with operational needs.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to employee training and development.
- Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations as needed.
- Participate in the development of department budgets, forecasting staffing and labor needs.
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field required; minimum of three (3) years of experience in Human Resources preferred.
- Proven experience in high-volume recruitment and onboarding processes, particularly for part-time and seasonal staff.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with a focus on team development and collaboration.
- Familiarity with workforce management and benefits administration.
- Ability to handle confidential information and manage sensitive employee relations matters effectively.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
