We're more than caregivers - we're like family.
At One You Love Homecare, we help older adults in our community live at home with dignity, comfort, and independence — and we take care of the people who make that possible. We're a growing, locally owned agency, and we're looking for the person who will help us build something people are proud to be part of.

About the role
As our Agency Manager, you'll run the day-to-day and set the tone. It's strategic and hands-on — one hour you're shaping how we grow, the next you're solving a scheduling gap or welcoming a new family. You'll report directly to the owner and serve as our licensed Agency Manager with the Illinois Department of Public Health, so this is a role of real trust and real ownership.

What you'll do
  • Lead daily operations — ensure smooth workflows, and full compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Own agency policies, procedures, and service standards, and keep scheduling, billing, and client service running seamlessly.
  • Build and guide the team — recruit, hire, train, supervise, and develop both caregivers and office staff.
  • Make sure every shift is covered, and handle call-outs and emergencies with a composed, ready plan.
  • Champion the client experience — conduct comprehensive intakes, build individualized care plans, be the person families can call, and resolve concerns with heart and understanding.
  • Keep meticulous records, run quality audits, prepare for licensing inspections, and track the metrics that tell us how we're doing.
  • Uphold OSHA, infection-control, and universal-precaution standards, and keep our safety practices current.
  • Support management of the agency budget and watch the numbers that keep us healthy — hours, margin, and growth.
  • Be our after-hours point of contact, and the backstop when a shift needs covering — with a calm plan, not a scramble.
What success looks like
In your first year, you'll know it's working when:
  • Clients are happy and stay with us — strong satisfaction and retention.
  • Caregivers feel supported and stick around past their first 90 days.
  • We pass every inspection clean, with background checks and training always current.
  • The territory grows steadily, at a margin that keeps the lights on and the raises coming.
Who you are
  • 2–5 years of management experience in home care, healthcare, or a related service industry.
  • Bachelor's in healthcare administration, business, or a related field — or equivalent real-world experience.
  • A strong, warm leader: organized, calm under pressure, and genuinely good with people.
  • Knowledgeable about home-care regulations and best practices.
  • Because we provide dementia and cognitive-support care, this role serves as our Alzheimer's Services Supervisor. You either hold — or are ready to earn — a recognized dementia certification (NCCDP Certified Dementia Practitioner, Alzheimer's Association EssentiALZ, or a Certified Dementia Specialist credential), or you bring 2+ years of dementia-care experience including a year in a lead/management role. Illinois asks for 8 hours of dementia training each year, and we'll support you in it.
  • Comfortable with scheduling systems, EMRs, and Microsoft Office (Excel included).
  • A natural at juggling priorities, delegating, and navigating through the occasional crisis.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Schedule / Expected Work Hours:
  • Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM --5:00 PM; with some on-call responsibilities as part of caring for clients around the clock.

Tell us a little about yourself and why home care matters to you. We read every application — and we'd love to meet you!
