Description

Function: We are seeking a passionate, student-centered Special Education Teacher to serve learners ages 12–21. The ideal candidate is committed to providing high-quality, individualized instruction and creating a supportive learning environment where every student can succeed.


Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized and small-group instruction aligned to students' IEP goals.
  • Co-teach with general education teachers or independently lead a special education classroom, depending on program needs.
  • Develop and implement differentiated lessons and instructional strategies.
  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Collaborate with families, related service providers, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success.
  • Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Special Education, Education or a related field. 
  • Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) with an LBS1 endorsement. 
  • Supervisory Endorsement (required). 
  • Experience working with diverse learners and students with varying academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs. 
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills.
