Job Description Summary

As the Electrified Propulsion Business Leader you will develop and execute long-term strategies that align with GE Aerospace’s vision to advance our full hybrid electric power & propulsion expertise, preparing GE to succeed in a more electric future across core and adjacent markets.
Set clear priorities and objectives for this emerging business, building alignment across teams and functions in D&S and positioning this business for a strong value proposition to support Commercial needs. Continuously assess market dynamics, customer requirements, and industry trends to determine what game we play and how we win at a business level.
Drive strategic execution, enacting win themes through market focused collaboration, opportunities for innovation, growth, and risk mitigation.
Represent GE Aerospace as a thought leader in electric power systems and electrified propulsion strategies at industry forums, conferences, and strategic discussions, influencing the future of aerospace electrification.

Job Description

Business Development

Drive innovation and entrepreneurship across the Electrified Propulsion business, fostering a culture that embraces new technologies and creative market approaches.

Lead strategies for entering new markets, including adjacent aerospace sectors and emerging global opportunities.

Develop and expand partnerships with joint ventures, ensuring strong collaboration and shared value creation in advanced electric propulsion initiatives.

 

Business Leadership

Instill a customer-first mindset across the organization, emphasizing responsiveness, reliability, and exceeding expectations in delivering Electrified Propulsion solutions. Directly manage teams responsible for program delivery, including, program management and business operations.

Accountable for the business unit’s P&L, ensuring financial targets are consistently met or exceeded through effective cost management and operational efficiency. Drive problem solving to unlock additional investment through clear value proposition and accountable ownership

Engage with a cross-functional team to drive revenue growth by establishing the go-to-market strategy for Electrified Propulsion, leveraging strategic initiatives and customer acquisition.

Ensure flawless program execution by driving on-time delivery and adherence to budgetary constraints, particularly for high-complexity electric power systems.

Collaborate with engineering, supply chain, and operations teams to proactively address risks and resolve challenges in electric power system development and production.

Champion the FLIGHT DECK operating system across all functions to drive lean principles and continuous improvement.

 

Program / Product Management

Oversee a market driven product lifecycle of Electrified Propulsion products, including market analysis, requirements definition, product development, launch, and end-of-life management.

Drive innovation in electrified propulsion, including advancements that will enable a competitive position in distributed propulsion markets and opportunities

Collaborate with engineering, marketing, sales, and commercial teams (if/where applicable) to ensure product offerings meet customer needs, and compliance with aerospace standards.

Serve as the primary executive interface for key customers, including OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and government agencies, building trust-based relationships and ensuring alignment on technical and business objectives.

Support complex contract negotiations, ensuring agreements drive long-term partnerships and align with customer requirements.

 

Stakeholder Engagement

Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure alignment and seamless execution of electric power system programs.

Provide regular updates to senior leadership on business performance, strategic initiatives, and operational progress specific to electric power distribution and controls.

Represent GE Aerospace in industry forums, conferences, and thought leadership events to stay ahead of emerging trends in aerospace electrification and power systems.

 

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partner with engineering, sales, supply chain, operations and the Commercial business (if/where appliable) to ensure seamless execution of electric power system programs in a matrixed environment.

Act as a change agent to break down silos, foster shared ownership, and drive cross-functional collaboration in the development and delivery of electrical Electrified Propulsion solutions.

Lead initiatives to improve organizational agility and responsiveness to market demands, particularly in the rapidly evolving aerospace electrification space.

 

Cultural Transformation

Champion a culture of accountability, collaboration, and shared ownership across all functions and levels of the organization, emphasizing the importance of Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC).

Lead initiatives to align all teams with P&L objectives, ensuring every employee understands their impact on the company’s financial performance and customer satisfaction.

Foster a high-performance environment that emphasizes continuous improvement, innovation, and adaptability in electric power system development and delivery.

Build, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and customer focus.

Develop leadership pipelines and succession plans to ensure long-term organizational strength.

 

 

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, General, etc.), Operations Management, Business Management, or related field.

12+ years of experience in manufacturing, program management, or business unit leadership, with progressive leadership roles demonstrating operational excellence and results.

Demonstrated success in managing complex aerospace programs and budgets.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic decision-making skills.

Outstanding leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to build relationships with employees, customers, and stakeholders.

Must be willing to work out of the GE Aerospace office in Evendale OH or Dayton OH
