Boeing Commercial Airplanes is hiring Electrical Design Managers (Level K) to support the Electrical Design Organization in Renton and Everett, WA. This could include one or more of the following skills: Wire Design, Wire Installation, Electrical Equipment Installation and Engineering Processes & Tools.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages employees performing engineering and technical tasks in the areas of the BCA Electrical Design Engineering Organization.

  • Supports BCA products.

  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures, and sets operational goals.

  • Coordinates engagement with BCA engineering counterparts located at USA, Long Beach site, North Charleston, SC, Philadelphia, PA, and international partners.

  • Acquires resources for projects and processes, including budget and staffing.

  • Provides technical and project oversight of suppliers.

  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports.

  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes.

  • Provides oversight and approval of approaches to compliance with regulatory requirements and certification processes.

  • Leads and fosters process improvements, and inspire the team forward on their Lean Journey.

  • Develops and maintains a culture of seeking to understand, courage to speak up, active listening and servant leadership to manage, develop, and motivate employees.

Work Authorization:

This position is required to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options (Everett or Renton).

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.

  • 3+ years of experience working within Boeing Commercial Airplanes.

  • Experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing complex projects from conception to completion.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience):

  • Experience in advising and influencing non-managers to meet schedules or resolve technical or operational problems.

  • Experience advising a work unit regarding tasks, projects and operations.

  • Knowledge of skills and abilities required by non-management employees to accomplish daily operational responsibilities.

  • Knowledge of established policies and procedures that typically affect non-management employees.

  • Knowledge of the entire Electrical Value stream (requirements development thru design & integration, release, Fabrication, installation, certification, and post production customer support) is a plus.

  • Proven ability to lead with the Boeing Values

  • Demonstrated ability in team building, coaching, and employee development to enhance team performance and engagement.

  • Solid technical background with the ability to guide and mentor the team.

Summary Pay Range:

$147,050 – $198,950
