The schedule for this position is Friday through Monday 3:00 PM – 1:30 AM.

 

SUMMARY: Ensures timely completion of a quality product for an assigned function area. Be able to step and fulfill Production Supervisor responsibility for short periods of time.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

 

  • Ensure all tasks are promptly completed in compliance with federal regulations, customer guidelines and company policies and all employees are working efficiently on their assigned tasks.
  • Monitor and correct routine and non-routine labor hours prior to exceeding allotted estimated hours, that the job revision is turned in prior to exceeding estimated hours.
  • Conduct daily and impromptu crew meetings to ensure prompt communication of all significant information to maintenance crews.
  • Facilitate on the job training through work assignments and use of mentoring to provide learning opportunities and ensure timely completion of OJT paperwork per ATS requirements.
  • Provide regular feedback and performance coaching to all members of assigned crew.
  •  Assist in researching all necessary parts needed for the job.
  • Review required customer and FAA paperwork to ensure proper maintenance updates and compliance with applicable regulations and customer requirements.
  • Perform maintenance tasks as required and become an active member of the crew.
  • Develop technical and leadership skills of the mechanics.
  • Directs work of assigned employees includes appropriate management of time, prioritizing tasks, ensuring proper knowledge and training to accomplish assignments, and adherence to company policy and procedures.
  •  Communicate with supervisor all information on assigned employees including disciplinary problems. Make recommendations for evaluations on assigned employees.
  •  Properly utilize Avionics test equipment to perform systems test and keep abreast of new and advanced test equipment and the use of such equipment. Properly utilized and maintain Avionics hand tools to perform repairs and installations.
  •  Regular and predictable attendance.
  • Effective and appropriate conduct with co-workers.
  • Operate ground support equipment e.g. power carts, Hi-Reach, etc. as required.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 

  • Must hold an airframe or repairman certification in accordance with FAR 65 and must have had at least 24 months of practical experience in the procedures, practices, inspection methods, materials, tools, machine tools, and equipment generally used in the area of responsibility.
  • Airframe or repairman license is required.

 

PHYSICAL EFFORT AND DEXTERITY: 

  •  While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to work within confined or small spaces, sit; use their hands and arms; and talk or hear; and focus on objects close up. 
  •  The employee will be required to ascend ladders varying in size; stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. 
  • The employee may be required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally, with help, lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Must have full color vision and visual acuity with or without corrective lenses.

 

Compensation

The full base pay range for this position is $33- $50 /DOE hourly, not including bonuses or benefits. Your pay will be based on your experience, skills, and education, as well as internal equity to ensure fairness across the team. Candidates closer to the lower end of the range are typically building their expertise, while those at the higher end bring significant experience and specialized knowledge. This position is also eligible for an annual performance bonus.
