Sonic Summary

info
  • Fluke Health Solutions is seeking a manufacturing engineer with a bachelor's degree in engineering and a minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing or test engineering roles.
  • The role focuses on leading Design-for-X (DFX) efforts, driving new product introduction (NPI) readiness, and developing standardized processes across product families.
  • Candidates should possess strong skills in process improvements, automation initiatives, and the ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
  • The position offers a collaborative team environment aimed at continuous improvement and measurable impact on key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Salary for this role is competitive and commensurate with experience, reflecting the importance of the position within the organization.

Why should you join Fluke Health Solutions – Everett Operations?

Everett Operations is intentionally transforming how engineering supports the factory — moving from reactive, daily firefighting to a preventive, capability‑driven model. This role offers the opportunity to influence product and process design early, shape NPI readiness, and drive long‑term improvements in quality, manufacturability, and scalability. You’ll work cross‑functionally with manufacturing, test, service, and design partners while having protected time to focus on DFX, standards, and system‑level improvements that make the site and operations stronger over time.

 What this role entails:
  • Lead Design‑for‑X (DFX) efforts across manufacturing and test to improve quality, cost, yield, and scalability
  • Drive NPI readiness activities including PFMEAs, control plans, validations, and manufacturing/test capability assessments
  • Develop and standardize manufacturing and test processes, platforms, and automation strategies across product families
  • Act as a technical escalation point for complex issues, with a focus on permanent, systemic fixes rather than short‑term containment
  • Partner with engineering, operations, and service teams to translate sustaining issues into long‑term design and process improvements impacting Quality, Delivery, and Cost

Team environment:
You will be part of the Everett Operations Engineering team, a growing and highly collaborative group supporting both manufacturing and service operations. The team works closely with production, test/metrology, materials, and service organizations, with a strong emphasis on continuous improvement, clear ownership, and measurable KPI impact. The environment is hands‑on, technically challenging, and oriented toward building durable systems — not relying on heroics.

 What we are looking for:

A. Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related discipline)
  • Experience in manufacturing engineering, test engineering, or DFX‑focused roles in a regulated or high‑reliability environment
  • Demonstrated experience with NPI readiness, PFMEAs, control plans, and process/test validation
  • Experience driving process improvements, standardization, or automation initiatives
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast‑paced production environment while maintaining a long‑term systems view

B. Personal / Soft Skills:

  • Growth / continuous improvement mindset
  • Strong systems thinker with a bias for root cause and long‑term solutions
  • Comfortable influencing across functions without direct authority
  • Able to balance hands‑on technical problem solving with strategic improvement work
  • Clear communicator who can translate technical details into practical, actionable recommendations
  • Self‑directed, organized, and comfortable working with ambiguity
