The Speech Language Pathologist evaluates and treats a variety of communication/swallowing disorders but is not limited to aphasia, voice, speech/language, closed head injury deficits (cognitive, linguistic, memory, attention), fluency (including stuttering), aural rehabilitation, non-verbal (augmentative communication), oral and pharyngeal stage of swallowing.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare diagnostic and evaluative reports with recommendations for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology services.
  • Maintain compliance with all competency requirements for regulatory and accrediting agencies, and health care provider prerequisites.
  • Provide diagnostic and treatment services for clients referred for Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Attend and participate actively in staff meetings, development, committees, and in-service education.
  • Adhere to organizational policies, including the Corporate Compliance Program and HIPAA regulations.
  • Maintain confidentiality and accurate professional records for all patients.
  • Deliver excellent customer service with a positive attitude towards the public and colleagues.
  • Compile and report data for the financial, statistical, and administrative needs of the programs.
  • Coordinate the evaluation, scheduling, and treatment programs for clients.
  • Achieve and maintain productivity standards and pursue professional growth aligned with the organization’s mission.


  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology with specific course work and clinical practice in all previously mentioned areas within the scope of practice is required.
  • Must have good communication and interpersonal skills


Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
  • Speech Pathologist
  • Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
  • Act 34
  • OAPSA
