Description:
The “Senior Product Manager -Data Center Applications” role will be responsible for building a winning product strategy to drive long term advantage in Fluke’s core marketplace as well as the high growth data center and enterprise IT markets. In addition to defining business models to support successful new product launches to growth of the business, this subject matter expert will also be responsible for continuously improving business financial health of the product line and monitoring competitive dynamics.

The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of data center workflows, operations, and the business environment, with a customer-centric mindset and strong strategic thinking skills. Experience required: 10+ Years in a Product Management or Marketing role, at least 5 of the most recent years must be in the Data Center or Cloud Infrastructure space.

Primary Responsibilities:Â
Â
- Define strategy and execution plan for the product portfolio and life cycle from inception through commercialization to maturity and own key performance metrics including sales, units, margin, and core growth. Initial focus on software-enabled data center and enterprise IT solutions to drive recurring revenue growth.
- Define and execute a compelling global product/software vision and roadmap to deliver sustained product leadership over the short, medium, and long-term using NPIs (new product introductions), sustainment of existing products, and EOL (end of life).Â
- Drive the development of new products while working in collaboration with Engineering, Operations, Marketing & Sales. Â
- Gain deep understanding of customer experience, competitive dynamic, market trends and workflows through customer research and market work.Â
- Identify critical trends and product leadership opportunities in a competitive landscape. (Including pricing, industry structure, technology/product positioning and advantage)Â Â
- Create and deploy pricing, warranty, product life cycle (EOL) policies.
- Work closely with customers with a consultative engagement mindset to understand unique needs and guide commercial & technical teams to co-develop effective solutions.Â
- Play an active role in supporting business development, partnership, technology, and M&A activities.Â
- Bring thought leadership internally and externally, including delivering presentations on performance, strategy, and customer insights to executive leadership.Â

Strong critical thinking, project management, dynamic, organizational, and analytical skills with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously is a requirement. The successful candidate is a self-starter, highly motivated, analytical, attentive to detail, and has experience with working successfully in matrix organizations. Additionally, strong candidates will have a passion to understand customer’s experience, pain, and delight with our products, as well as competitive products.

- Communication - must be able to effectively and concisely communicate complex information across all levels of the organization and across functional boundaries.
- Masters of Business Administration (MBA) preferred, or BS/BA equivalent experience
- 10+ Years’ experience in a Product Management or Marketing role, 5 of which must be in the Data Center or Cloud Infrastructure space
- Knowledge and subject matter expertise in data center, industrial, and/or enterprise communication network markets is required
- Experience with Lean Portfolio Management a plus
- Ability to travel, including internationally up to 25% of the time
