The Certified Dietary Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, developing and directing the overall operation of the Dietary Department in accordance with current applicable Federal, State and local standards, guidelines and regulations.

Posted Salary Range

USD $60,369.00 - USD $68,540.00 /Yr.

Wage Commensuration

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, education and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for planning, organizing, developing and directing the overall operation of the Dietary Department in accordance with current applicable Federal, State and local standards, guidelines and regulations.
  • Schedule department working hours, personnel, work assignments, etc., to maintain quality patient care.
  • Develop and participate in programs designed for on-the-job training and orientation classes for newly assigned department personnel.
  • Schedule and/or conduct a monthly in-service for department personnel.
  • Hold routine departmental meetings.
  • Provide education to other departments in the facility regarding dietary services.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Must be a Certified Dietary Manager, long term care experience preferred
  • Minimum of two+ years of experience in a supervisory capacity in a hospital, skilled nursing facility or other related medical facility
  • Training in cost control, food management, diet therapy, etc.
  • Must maintain current licensure as required by law
  • Any combination of experience and training which provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities.
  • Reliable transportation required
