This is an on-call position, which means it is a part-time, hourly role. This position can accommodate a variety of work schedules. Employees can work anywhere from about 16 hours per week to no more than 39 hours per week, dependent on the needs of each course and the employeeâs availability. This is typically a seasonal position. Onâcall positions may have routine or variable work schedules. The pay for this position is $19.03/hour. This position is not eligible for benefits. The Denver Municipal Golf Courses are open for play year-round (weather permitting) from daylight until dark, and the golf pro shops are open 364 days a year. In this position, you can expect to work on site at Evergreen Golf Course located at 29614 Upper Bear Creek Road, Evergreen, CO 80439. Denver Golf, part of the City and County of Denverâs Department of Parks and Recreation, has eight golf facilities including regulation golf courses, executive mountain golf course, par three golf courses, Miniature Golf facilities, driving ranges, restaurants, and Denver Junior Golf - The First Tee of Denver. The role is entry-level where Golf Course Outdoor Workers collaborate with their team building skills, knowledge, and maintenance proficiencies in preparation for the next level up, Golf Course Utility Worker II. Responsibilities include performing routine golf course maintenance, operating entry level golf maintenance equipment such as push mowers, triplex mowers, sprinkler head trimmers, string trimmers, divot repair tools, shovels, and rakes, assisting in course upkeep and setup, mowing, aerating, fertilizing the course and other landscaped areas, loading and unloading equipment and supplies, cleaning and caring for basic tools and equipment, assisting in repair of water line breaks, cutting and laying sod, cleaning sprinkler lines, valves, and heads, assisting in basic maintenance of golf irrigation systems, assisting with horticultural tasks in flower beds and other plantings, possibly assisting tree trimmers in maintenance of trimming, removing, and spraying trees, and performing other related duties as assigned or requested. The ideal candidate has a great attitude, flexibility to work weekends and holidays, ability to work in all weather conditions, and ability to work a consistent schedule and early morning hours. No education or experience is required.
