About the Role:
The Maintenance Tech II plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of facility equipment and systems across various departments. This position involves performing routine inspections, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to minimize downtime and maintain safety standards. The Maintenance Tech II collaborates closely with other team members to implement preventive maintenance programs and respond promptly to emergency repair requests. Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in maintenance or a related technical field.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between job sites as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical certification or associate degree in industrial maintenance, electrical technology, or a related field.
- Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Knowledge of HVAC systems and controls.
- Familiarity with safety standards such as OSHA regulations.
- Ability to operate forklifts or other heavy equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to ensure optimal functionality.
- Diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions, including HVAC systems, machinery, and facility infrastructure.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies to minimize operational disruptions.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory.
- Collaborate with team members to develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all maintenance activities.
- Assist in the installation and setup of new equipment and systems as required.
