Description
Summary/Objective
The Senior Accountant plays a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely reporting of assigned reconciliations. This includes the maintenance of account balances, general ledger, and all reports.
Essential Functions
- Assist with monthly close processes including (but not limited to): revenue, accounts receivable, inventory, payroll, prepaids, fixed assets, and treasury.
- Assist with monthly consolidation process to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to senior management team.
- Complete monthly account reconciliations, including researching and resolving discrepancies, as applicable.
- Work collaboratively with external auditors to provide the appropriate support, explanations, etc. for annual 401k and financial reporting audits.
- Continuously identify and implement process improvements to streamline accounting functions to increase the productivity of the corporate accounting team.
- Ad hoc projects/other duties as assigned.
- Serve as back-up for other members of the accounting team.

- Strong experience and highly proficient in information technology and financial applications;Â
- Extensive knowledge of Excel.
- Requires highly developed general accounting skills in corporate-level accounting and reporting activities.
- Requires outstanding financial systems skills.
- Requires excellent oral and written communication skills
- Requires strong attention to detail
- Must possess excellent time management skills; must be able to handle multiple projects with deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational skills required.
Supervisory Responsibility
This role does not have supervisory responsibility.Â
Work Environment
This position operates in a standard office environment.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, with an 8-hour shift Monday through Friday. No weekends are required.Â

Requirements
Education and Experience
4 year bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
Minimum 3 years of accounting experience
Experience with banking cash management systems, including processing electronic payments (ACH and Wires).
SAGE Intacct ERP experience preferred but not required
Healthcare industry experience preferred but not required
Active (or actively pursuing) CPA preferred.
