Senior Technician Maintenance, 1st shift

Location: Exton, PA (USA)

Onsite (Monday - Friday 7:00AM -3:30PM)  

As a Senior Technician Maintenance and under supervision, this role is a critical operational position responsible for ensuring the reliability, uptime, and compliance of manufacturing and facility equipment. This includes preventive maintenance execution, troubleshooting equipment failures, supporting production operations, and maintaining regulatory-compliant documentation. (e.g., CMMS, GMP records)

The ideal candidate will have  experience with HVAC, utilities and  electrical to support manufacturing operations, engineering and facility systems.  (Including working  with freeze dryers and refrigeration). You will also maintain equipment reliability and respond to unplanned equipment failures in real-time to avoid production disruptions.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, set up, repair, and maintain new and existing manufacturing tooling and equipment.
  • Develop and update maintenance procedures, as necessary.
  • Train assembly technicians on the operation of manufacturing equipment.
  • Complete entries in Preventative Maintenance Logbooks and Faciliworks program.
  • Work with manufacturing personnel to trouble shoot manufacturing process problems.
  • Assist Manufacturing Engineering as required.
  • Assist with general facility issues relating to plumbing, HVAC and electrical services to maintain proper working conditions.
  • Maintain non-production equipment, which supports production.
  • Organize and maintain spare parts inventory for completing timely repairs on all equipment.
  • Provide management with periodic reports.

* Participate in on-call rotations and provide off-hours support to sustain 24/7 operations

You bring:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required/ Two-year technical degree preferred.
  • 1-3 years’ experience in a similar position required. Medical device manufacturing or GMP preferred.  Also, medical materials/chemical manufacturing strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of VOM, Amperage Meters.
  • Working knowledge of scope & usage of General Work Permitting Procedure & Processes.
  • Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical & HVAC systems.
  • Working knowledge of various power & hand tools; wrenches, sockets, screwdrivers, pliers, etc.
  • Ability to read & understand schematics.
  • Proficient written & oral communication skills + computer literacy.

The salary or hourly wage scale provided reflects the pay range dsm-firmenich expects to pay the successful candidate for the position. Individual pay offered will be based on the applicant’s job-related skills, experience, relevant education, or training, and primary work location.

In addition to base salary, we also offer a comprehensive total rewards package, inclusive of annual incentive pay, a retirement savings plan, health care coverage, paid time off, recognition programs and a broad range of other benefits. All benefits and incentives are subject to eligibility requirements. Hourly $24 - $32 hour
